STEM-IT: Immersive Technologies for STEM Education – Multiplier Event in Cyprus

On 19 September 2026, SCP organised the STEM-IT Multiplier Event at the SCP Training Academy in Limassol, Cyprus, within the framework of the Erasmus+ project STEM-IT – Immersive Technology in STEM Education.

The event brought together 33 participants from different educational and professional backgrounds, including teachers, VET professionals, technology specialists and representatives from the business sector. The diverse audience created an opportunity for exchange between education, technology and innovation.

The event aimed to present the main achievements and results of STEM-IT, introduce the educational resources developed within the project and demonstrate how Augmented Reality (AR), Virtual Reality (VR) and 3D technologies can support innovative STEM teaching and learning approaches.

During the session, participants were introduced to the STEM-IT website, the Educational Handbook and the main digital learning resources developed within the project, including ARTutor, the STEM-IT VR Museum, EnergyLab VR, Mission Mars: Can We Survive? and the SCP STEM-IT 3D Model Viewer.

A practical demonstration allowed participants to directly explore the immersive learning scenarios using digital devices and VR equipment. Through hands-on activities, participants experienced how immersive technologies can transform abstract scientific concepts into interactive and engaging learning experiences.

The event generated positive feedback, with participants particularly appreciating the possibility of exploring the tools directly and understanding how AR, VR and 3D environments can be integrated into educational activities. The multiplier event contributed to the dissemination and future exploitation of STEM-IT results among education and technology stakeholders.
